Hello! I’m Steve Hering and I live in central Ohio, with my wife and our two boys. For my 9-to-5 job I work as a Senior User Experience Consultant at Slalom. I spend my days helping organizations design and build better digital products. My work sits at the intersection of business, design, and technology: leading discovery, shaping product strategy, building scalable design systems, and translating ambiguity into experiences that teams can actually deliver. I care deeply about clarity, momentum, and outcomes that make a real difference for users.

Outside of the workplace I spend time with my family playing board games, exercising drawing muscles that have partially atrophied, and thinking about setting up a mattress in our kitchen so I could spend just a little more time cooking.
